Open with

Open with is a small but powerful shell extension that lets you customize the context menu in Windows Explorer. With Open with, you can add new items to the Open in Program menu, allowing you to open files in programs other than the ones associated with them by default.

To add a new item to the Open in Program menu, simply enter the name of the item, the file types you want the item to support, the location of the executable, and any arguments you want to pass to the program. You can also choose to display the item in a submenu, run it with administrator privileges, or apply it to directories or all files.

For example, to add a new item that opens .txt files in Notepad, specify the item name as "Open in Notepad", the file types as ".txt", the location of the executable as "C:Windowsnotepad.exe", and any arguments. Once you add a new item, it will be available in the context menu in Windows Explorer. You can use it to open files in programs other than the ones associated with them by default.
