NETGEAR Genie

NETGEAR Genie (based on SiteView technology) is a utility that allows you to get a lot of information about your network quickly and easily. You can also easily manage most new NETGEAR routers using this utility (via the Router Settings option).

Main Features

• Internet: Monitoring uploaded and downloaded data, speed testing.
• Wi-Fi Connection: connect to a selected Wi-Fi network, view nearby wireless networks and the channels they are broadcasting on, view your own network's WI-Fi channels and select the least interfered one. For selected routers, this tab can also be used to enable access to the Guest network, a Wi-Fi network for guests and visitors.
• Router Settings.
• Network Map: Clearly display all devices that are currently connected to the network.
• Parental Locks: Allows you to set up and block websites through OpenDNS' Live Parental Controls technology.
• ReadySHARE: The ability to set up access to an external USB data storage device connected to the router and view the data stored on it from anywhere within the home network.
• Network Support: Answers to frequently asked questions, tools to check the quality of your Internet connection. Links to support sites.
• Feedback: Used to send feedback on the NETGEAR Genie utility or other NETGEAR products.
