Application architecture
NetCafe2005 is a client/server based network application. It uses TCP/IP protocol for its operation. On that basis it is divided into 2 parts:
- CLIENT APPLICATION(Client). It is designed to be installed on all stations for users. It controls the traffic on the station, is able to fully disable the work on the computer, informs the user about the time spent and the adequate part to pay for the use of the station. It also sends status changes to the service application.
- SERVICE APPLICATION(Server). This application has 2 uses. The first is i.e. a "master server" which will always have an attendant installed. In this mode, the attendant application can control all the entrusted client stations(i.e. unblock, lock, release, remotely shut down, etc.). The second use is called "supervision". The server can be installed by e.g. the owner of the establishment and can look at the current traffic or statistics to know how much this establishment has earned in which period. As a GREAT IMPROVEMENT OVER COMPETITION the application in this mode can now display an unlimited number of establishments depending on the licenses! This means that if you have multiple cafes or clubs, you can see the current status of all of them including statistics in one single application and the operator of each cafe will only see the stations entrusted to her in that particular establishment!
