Name It

Name It is a bulk file renaming and copying program. It can insert a string at any position in a filename, remove a string from a certain position, replace the occurrence of a string with another, insert a date and time in the name in a defined format, remove diacritics, change the size of characters, increment/decrement a number contained in a filename or zero-pad it to a specified number of digits, and finally rename and copy files by appending a numeric index.
