MP3 AddIn for Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint does not allow you to embed MP3 files in presentations by default. This deficiency can be solved by using the MP3 AddIn for Microsoft PowerPoint, which is available for free. Once installed, you can insert MP3 audio files directly into presentations without having to convert them to WAV format.

The add-in modifies the header and changes the file name so that PowerPoint "assumes" it is a WAV file. The main advantage of this solution is that the modified file is almost the same size as the original MP3 (an increase in size of only a few bytes), whereas a normal conversion to WAV would cause the file to become significantly larger. With this add-on, you can create presentations with audio files that remain small and easy to manage.
