Model ChemLab

Model ChemLab comes from academic work in computer simulation and software design at McMaster University. It has continued to be developed by educators interested in the potential use of computer simulations for classroom and distance learning applications.

The ChemLab model is a unique software that includes both interactive simulations and a laboratory workbook with separate spaces for theory, procedures and student observations. Commonly used laboratory equipment and procedures are used to simulate the steps involved in performing an experiment. Users progress through the actual laboratory procedure while interacting with the animated equipment in a manner similar to a real laboratory classroom.

ChemLab is designed for general chemistry lab experiments in high school and college.
