Memento Mori

Memento Mori is a mysterious adventure game that is more like an interactive movie. The story of Memento Mori is set in a hermitage in St. Petersburg, where original paintings were replaced with fakes during a brief security blackout. In a fit of panic, the local police chief, at the time nominated for a prestigious presidential award for his impeccable service to his country, rummages through a notebook of names of people he might pull some unpleasant dirt on, and who, thanks to this, will carry out the investigation without unnecessary fuss or risk of everything blowing up. The two lucky ones are, of course, two playable characters who will hopefully be pleasant companions as you unravel a criminal case with a dash of mysticism. Max Durand is a fresh-faced university cantor and anointed expert on fake paintings. He's been making a living (and treating his sick wife) by doing the aforementioned illegal activities in the past. Unfortunately, he was so inept that he was soon caught and, on his word of honour, acquitted by Larisa Svetlova. You guessed right, Larissa is the second actor in the story. She's quite pretty and works in Interpol's art forgery investigation unit.
