MadPassExt is a tool for recovering passwords from external hard drives. It decrypts and extracts the DPAPI password generated for your Microsoft account, which can then be used to recover DPAPI-encrypted passwords from an external hard drive.

DPAPI is a complex encryption algorithm that protects passwords and other sensitive data. MadPassExt uses DPAPI to decrypt a password for a Microsoft account and then uses that password to recover passwords from an external hard drive.
