The latest version of the excellent Lingea Lexicon 5 electronic dictionary brings updated data in a brand new application. The dictionary faithfully reflects today's language, containing new words belonging to the general vocabulary and specialized terminology. This original dictionary, although medium in size, is more like a larger dictionary in content. Maximum emphasis has been placed on ensuring that the terminology contained in it is truly up-to-date; this has been achieved, among other things, by extensive use of Internet sources and the specialist foreign press.

The Lexicon application has a number of modern features: intelligent search, quick preview for full-text, whisper, tables of morphology or mouse-over. On Linux and Mac OS X platforms, the mouse-over function is replaced by automatic text capture by pasting it into the clipboard (e.g. by marking it).

The software, unlike a book, allows the user to get a summary view of the word or phrase they are looking for, and also immediately have access to established phrases, idioms, examples, synonyms and antonyms, phrasal verbs, etc. You'll also appreciate the CD-quality sound of the passwords, the grammar overview, or the useful Learn/Try function, which makes it easy to learn the vocabulary from a new lesson.
