HDHacker

HDHacker is a standalone microprocessor that stores, visualizes and restores MBR (from a physical drive), BootSector (from a logical drive) or any specified sector from any disk (even removable disks). For example, HDHacker can be used to save and restore a specific boot manager (e.g. LILO). Backing up MBR and BootSector can also be useful for simple security purposes, as sometimes viruses or other OS settings (e.g. Linux) can overwrite and/or alter MBR/Boot Sectors, making it impossible to boot the previous OS and/or access data stored on the disk.
