HD Workbench

HD Workbench is a utility designed for Windows XP and Windows 2000. With its help you can check the status of your hard disk and test it for errors. You can still rescue valuable data from a faulty disk, for example by cloning a specific sector on the disk. HD Workbench offers the following services:

• SMART health monitoring - protection against disk collapse
• Conduct a disk surface test
• Bad sector recovery
• Sector by sector disk cloning
• Checking hard disk temperature

HD Workbench supports FAT, FAT32 and NTFS file systems. It is integrated into the Windows boot menu and safe mode. To fully utilize its services, you must have an HDD that supports SMART technology.
