ExportImport S5

ExportImport S5 allows you to transfer simple lists such as addresses, catalogue items, price list items, etc., but also lists of documents including items. In general, it allows to transfer lists of those objects that can exist independently without binding to a parent object, i.e. all S5 objects of interest from the user's point of view. For each object it is possible to transfer all its items of simple types and selected items from child objects.

The configuration of the transfer is designed with simplicity and clarity in mind. It contains mainly the object type, the path to the XLS file and the list of object items included in the transfer. Other parameters are related to specifying the application behavior during export or import, e.g. it is possible to specify the restriction of exported data by a filter, to specify whether the import is allowed to create new or update existing objects according to the selected key, to classify imported objects into groups, etc. The same configuration can be used for both export and import.

Since this is a relatively system tool that can be used to perform significant data manipulation, it is intended primarily for administrators and S5 implementers. At the very least, configuration settings require that this operation be performed by a person familiar with the internal structure of Money objects and the implications of setting certain parameters. For the sake of generality, the module works with object names and item names from the object definition, which can be seen, for example, in MetaDataManager.
