It is designed for imperfect digital photos taken under extreme lighting conditions, i.e. only for special cases where it can effectively replace a number of fitters and lengthy manual editing in some advanced software with properly set parameters. It is based on an analysis of the luminance mask to which it applies several functions up to a selected limit. It brightens underexposed parts of the image, the darker the more according to a derived curve, adjusts overall contrast and can bring out colors in originally dark zones all in one filter/step. The filter does not stretch contrast etc, it is not designed for standard histogram functions, it only tries to mimic "digiflash". See the program help for more information.
