DelOldFiles

A lot of programs create piles of mostly unnecessary files that only burden the system and take up free disk space. This small utility can delete files with a certain mask in a defined path that are older than a defined number of days or hours. The utility runs in the command line with the following parameters (in the exact order listed):

• number of days - files with the creation date now minus the specified number of days will be deleted
• path including file mask - only files with a matching mask will be checked
• hours - if this parameter is specified, the age of the files is not counted in days, but in hours

When running the program without parameters or with incorrect parameters, a help message will be displayed.

If the first parameter is the word INI and the deloldfiles.ini file is found in the same directory, then the lines in the ini file are treated as program parameters one by one. Thus, an entire batch can be defined with different file paths and masks, including the determination of file ages.
