Dead Pixel Tester: How to spot faulty pixels in an LCD display

LCD displays are made up of millions of tiny dots called pixels. If one of these pixels is not working properly, we call it a defective pixel. Faulty pixels can be dead or blocked.

A dead pixel is a black dot that does not appear in any of the color channels (red, green, or blue).

A blocked pixel displays only one color, even when we change the background color.

Testing Dead Pixels
