Crimsonland

You've been dropped on an alien planet and your mission is to blast anything that moves. The moving things will be mostly alien creatures that will try to tear you apart with their claws. You'll use a variety of powerful weapons to defend yourself, from the classic pistol, shotgun and uzi to ion and plasma weapons.

The game is divided into several modes. In the first one - Quest - you have to go through levels, for which you get new weapons and bonuses. In the next - Rush - mode, you're swarmed by aliens from all sides at once, and your job is to hold out as long as possible. The third mode - Survival - is similar to the second, but the intruders come gradually, so you have time to collect bonuses and can wait for the weapon you like best. The last mode opens after you have completed all the levels of Quest mode.

The game can be played with one or two players (one keyboard+mouse, the other keyboard or joypad), but the second player always has the disadvantage of having a more difficult control of his soldier - this is probably the only downside of this game.
