ComPortMan

ComPortMan is a Windows service that allows you to control the assignment of COM ports to Windows. Because it runs as a service, it is independent of the logged-in user's permissions, so there is no need to give users permission to change COM ports.
You can define new default COM port numbers based on several criteria.
The COM Port Info utility is included to display detailed information about all COM ports.

With ComPortMan, you can

• redefine new default COM port numbers based on several criteria;
• show a ticket (in a bubble) with the associated COM port(s);
• define auto-trigger events based on criteria;
• uninstall a device with a COM port from the device manager when it is removed, e.g. when each device is connected only once.
