BilboCrypt

 

Bilbocrypt is a freeware file encryption program distributed under the GPL license. By downloading or using the program you agree to the terms of the license. BilboCrypt uses the Blowfish, Twofish, Rijndael (AES) and Cast128 algorithms (you can choose to use more algorithms) in CBC mode. It is available for Dos, Win32 and Linux. The command line syntax is similar to rar, ace, uharc, 7zip, arj, etc. Without knowing the password, no one can find out the number, size or names of the files in the archive, let alone their contents. The program uses a 576 bit key generated by the hashing functions SHA-1, RIPEMD-160 and Haval 256, but security depends mainly on the choice of password. If you choose a short, guessable password, such as "iva", your secret files are probably public by the next day if someone gets hold of the encrypted archive. However, a 15 character password should probably be enough for a decent level of security (but the more the better).
