Battery Info

Battery Info displays information about the current battery status. It displays information about the time before the battery is discharged or, in the case of charging, how much time is left to charge. The app is designed for mobile devices running Android- tested on LG GW620 (Android 1.5).

The app monitors the battery status and saves the necessary information. Based on these measurements, it calculates the discharge time estimate, discharge assumption and charge estimate. The discharge and charge estimation is done based on the last few changes only. The discharge assumption is made from long-term measured data. The calculation consists of calculating the average drop in battery level during each hour of the day and for each day of the week. And from this we assume that the discharge will be similar in the following hours and days. In this calculation, we do not take into account the values when charging occurred. This should take into account, for example, small discharges during the night, large discharges during Monday morning, ... The calculation of the assumption may be more time consuming and therefore the update is done on request from the user. It is not necessary to update every time the application is started, but it is sufficient to update after a few days.

Measured battery evolution can be displayed in a graph including the estimate and assumption of discharge.
