Addict is a multi-platform dictionary, or more precisely a program (engine) for searching translations or meanings of unknown words using dictionary databases.

Addict is written using the wxWindows multiplatform library and distributed under the GPL license. It is primarily developed for the GPL/FDL Czech-English Translation Dictionary, but it can be used for other dictionaries, even interpretive dictionaries.
